Independence Day Celebrations
Theme: When the Circus Came to Town. The celebrations include concerts by the award-winning bluegrass group Balsam Range and the Lake Junaluska Singers, as well as a show by the Imagine Circus. A parade, fireworks, community picnic and other family activities round out the week. The vacation package includes lodging, tickets to all events and special meals.
Fourth of July Parade
July 4, 11 a.m.
Theme: When the Circus Came to Town. Individuals, families and businesses from all over Haywood County come to participate in Lake Junaluska's Fourth of July Parade.
Fourth of July Barbecue Picnic
July 4, 12-2 p.m.
Located at the Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym, the Lake Junaluska Fourth of July Barbecue Picnic takes place directly after the parade has finished. The picnic features a delicious barbecue lunch, music and family-friendly activities including face-painting, bounce houses and balloon art.
The Lake Junaluska Singers in Concert
July 4, 7:30 p.m.
The Lake Junaluska Singers perform in Stuart Auditorium.
July 4, approx. 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a free fireworks display over the lake. The community gathers to enjoy this fantastic display of more than 800 fireworks shot from the dam and reflected beautifully on the lake.
The Imagine Circus
July 5, 7:30 p.m.
World-class acrobats, aerialists, jugglers and more will entertain in Stuart Auditorium.
July 6, 7:30 p.m.
The award-winning bluegrass group Balsam Range takes the stage as part of the Lake Junaluska Independence Day Celebrations.
