Changing My Outlook as a Leader
By Laurindo Efraim Firmino
"I give thanks to my God, whenever I remember you, always praying with joy in all my supplications." Philippians 1:3-4
I was not feeling very well when I attended the Young Leaders Summit in Ndola, Zambia in 2015. But even the devil could not stop me so I participated in an effective way because I believed that each session will help in my leadership formation. Each session strengthened my heart, my faith and my soul.
Through the Young Leaders Summit, I felt a change in my outlook as a leader. I took with me a great amount of knowledge. I internalized the interactions I had, the lectures, seminars and conversations. I learned how God is working in the lives of other young African leaders.

I thank the facilitators and lecturers, for the care they have given, for the friendship they have acquired, for the austerity of the tasks, for the studies, and especially for believing that we are capable with Jesus Christ!
I am grateful to the directive staff, composed by Rev. Mike Ratliff, Brother Mighty Rasing, Brother Armindo Mapoissa and other staff, for the brilliant way they led in directing the Youth destinations of the United Methodist Church Africa.
To my colleagues and brothers and sisters in Christ, with whom we shared our joys, anguishes and learning, we are more than conquerors! Receive "my love, gratitude for everything and especially for making my friends forever"!
